Recently, here at SkinAgain, we had the privilege of personally attending a Burn Institute survivor support group. We found it empowering to hear their stories of courage, pain and survival. Here are a few things we learned about the ongoing challenges they have with their skin.
· They cannot use anything with perfumes
· Many of the products are too greasy
· They need a moisture lotion under silicon sheets that are replaced daily.
· They need something to use under their compression garments (which they wear for up to a year).
· Many of them have skin discomfort the rest of their lives.
