Healing Razor Burn
Razor burns -- ouch! Whether you're experiencing the painful after-effects of razor burn (redness, scabbing, raised bumps) or looking to avoid the burn in the first place, SkinAgain can help.
If you're already dealing with razor burn, your best bet is to stop shaving the effected area and allow the skin time to heal. SkinAgain's pRo-tone soothes burned skin and aids the healing process. A gentle exfoliant (careful -- don't scrub!) such as SkinAgain's pRo-tone will carry away dead surface skin and unclog pores for faster healing. Soothe raw skin with SkinAgain's pRo-tone to relieve discomfort and tone down redness.
When you do start shaving again, consider using a single blade razor to avoid slicing the skin as it heals. Be careful not to scratch, irritate or scrub burned skin as this will increase irritation and may lead to infection. Skip the cologne until the burned area heals, and never use any products containing alcohol as these will dry the skin.
Want to avoid the burn altogether? Prepare your skin before you begin! A smooth, even shave begins before the razor touches your skin. First, exfoliate to remove oil, dead skin and dirt. Then apply a light covering of Skin Again's pRo-tone and give it a few minutes to absorb (do not rub pRo-tone into the skin). This softens the hair and makes for a smoother shave. Finally, consider ditching your shaving cream for a moisturizing soap to get that extra lubrication and a superior shave.
If razor burn is an ongoing problem, why not skip the shave altogether? Use a wax or sugar scrub to pluck hair, or a gentle cream to dissolve it. After treatment, soothe with with Skin Again's pRo-tone to relieve any discomfort. Purchase pRo-tone in our store.
